Beauty in a Bag: To Makeup the Difference

Woman getting makeup done

Most women, especially beauty junkies, rarely travel without cosmetics of some type, so let’s review a few of the products that can reduce your overall toiletry bag volume.

To even out your skin tone, make sure to include either a foundation stick or a concealer pencil. There are so many out there it is hard to recommend a specific one that works for all different skin types and all different skin tones. But with a pencil or stick formulation, either of these options will stay out of your 3-1-1 bag. Personally, I prefer the idea of the foundation stick because it can spot conceal if that’s all my skin needs, but it can also provide full-face coverage if that’s what I need for an event or on a particular day. Multi-tasking is the name of the game here!

Hands down, the one product that has to be listed is the Eyelite pencil from ErzulieCosmetics. This fabulous little pencil conceals, highlights, and corrects all with one item. And it also makes a perfect eyeshadow and eyeliner primer just to maximize the uses of this little pencil. The other must-have is a nice neutral eyeliner pencil in black-brown, or gray. The Eyelite will help smooth and prep the eye while the eyeliner gives that definition we all want.

Last but not least, bring on the glow! Add a multi-use stick or pencil that works for your cheeks and lips such as the Nudestix Lip/Cheek Pencil. Personally I lean towards the rose family, but bronze or nude would make an excellent alternative.

Who knew that you could have a nice vacation look with just a handful of items? Don’t forget a latex sponge for blending and a pencil sharpener to keep things on point!
