My Five-Star Makeup Picks

Woman applying makeup

I have tried a lot of makeup in my exploration, but I think many of us have those top products that we always come back to.  The ones that no matter what else we try, they just seem to work better for us and our needs.  Here is a list of my top treats that seem to always make it back inside my makeup bag:

  1. Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don’t Stray Eyeshadow Primer in Light – This amazing primer is formulated to work for the entire eye area, above the eye to prime for eyeshadow and eyeliner as well as under the eye to prime for concealers and brighteners.  It also works wonderfully by itself to brighten and even out the eye area.
  2. E.L.F. Cosmetics Tone Correcting Powder in Cool – This four-colored pressed powder is a $4 steal.  It has yellow, green, blue, and pink but ends up dusting on and evening out my entire complexion.
  3. Green Beauty Cosmetics Lip Tint in Rose – I’ve mentioned this one before (What’s in your makeup bag) but it bears another mention.  This tinted lip balm lives in my purse permanently.  Not only does it moisturize nicely, it also gives the perfect rose color to my lips.  Previously I had always leaned towards nude pinks but once I tried this one with a little more color, I was sold.
  4. Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Brightening Finishing Powder – Although this one is new to me, I  definitely think it’s a keeper.  Not only does it add the perfect amount of color to my cheeks, it also works as an eyeshadow if I’m in a hurry (like I am most weekday mornings).

It seems that I am still on the search for my go-to eyeshadow and eyeliner – I am open to suggestions!
