Clarisonic Mia 2 Review: Are Facial Brushes Worth the Hype?

All right, I confess that in my quest for perfect skin, I have occasionally fallen for some skin care products that were nothing more than clever marketing ploys. In my defense though, I was desperate and would have tried anything to get rid of flakey skin and zits. In fact, I am still on the look out for the perfect skin care product so you can imagine my delight (and caution) when I heard about the Clarisonic Mia 2.

What Is It?

To the uninitiated, the Clarisonic Mia 2 is handy-dandy face cleaning brush that comes with two sonic speeds, so you can customize it to suit your skin needs. Personally, I have very delicate skin so I just used speed 1 most of the time as it was designed for my skin type. However, I also used speed 2 from time to time whenever I wanted a deeper clean or if my face felt particularly rough.

How Did It Work?

You know how I said that sometimes I get easily taken in by skin care products and empty marketing promise? Well, that didn’t happen this time and I love, love, love the Clarisonic Mia 2. First of all, my skin felt so smooth and soft that I could not stop touching it. By the second use, I noticed my makeup goes on much more smoothly. But it was by the third use that I really grew to love it because I actually felt my skin creams penetrating more deeply and thoroughly. By the end of the first month, I barely had any breakouts.
