Essential Shoes for Fall

Shoes are my very favorite part of the fashion game, and every season I wait with bated breath to see what new styles my favorite designers have come up with. Fall in particular is always the best, when I don’t have to worry about whether my pedi is fresh and the snow and sludge is still a few months away. So here’s what’s trendy for fall 2015!

Thigh Highs
The sky’s the limit when it comes to boots this fall! And we’re not just talking about heels. Boots that skim all the way up and up the thigh were all over the runways. Christian Dior, Versace, Emilio Pucci, and Alexander McQueen were just a few designers who were rocking this look. Leather, suede, and latex were the fabric of choice, and the higher and more fitted the better. This shoe adds a ton of sex appeal to any outfit, and look super hot paired with a nice mini skirt or dress.

Fur
Fur embellishment or even full fur was also a designer fav, and not just on boots! It’s the perfect fabric to suit the chillier weather, so why should we stop just at fur coats? Designers like Salvatore Ferragamo, Brunello Cucinelli, and Fendi had some super fuzzy yet stylish creations that look like they would keep your feet toasty—even the strappy heels! It’s not something you’d expect to look so chic, but designers are using just the perfect amount to make a statement and grab some attention.

Mary Janes
Mary Janes are shoes that never truly go out of style, but they’re really having a moment right now. Designers are having fun putting a modern spin on this classic style, coming in all different heights, colors, and straps. The peep toed black and white heels from Jil Sander, and the multi-strapped red Mary Janes from Miu Miu are my favorite shoes mentioned on this list. I love any time a classic look gets a modern re-vamp, and the runways did not disappoint with this trend.
