How to Cut Carbs without Suffering

Assorted foods, including deli meats, oils, vegetables, and bread

I’ve heard a lot of people say they have such a hard time cutting carbs and dieting. Cutting back on carbs is great for those who want to lose weight and get in shape. However, if you’ve been used to a diet that has a substantial amount of carbs, cutting back on it can be difficult. Since foods rich in carbs are the ones largely responsible for making you feel full, slowly removing these food items from your diet can naturally be difficult for you.

How to Cut Carbs without Suffering

One of the effective methods of cutting back on carbs without suffering would be to find substitutes for what you are eating. Consider the following suggestions when you plan on cutting carbs. You don’t have to suffer from feeling hungry or having no energy when you try these!

Try adding a lot of low-carb veggies to your consumption. Consider having a few servings of romaine, red, and Boston lettuce, green beans, artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant, cucumbers, olives, and avocados. You can make salads from these ingredients or prepare some sandwiches with these healthy fillings.

Snack on berries. Berries are great sources of vitamins and minerals. When you eat a few servings of mixed berries every day, you will feel full without having a whole lot of carbs in your system.

Instead of mashed potatoes, you can use cauliflower rice. There are a lot of cauliflower rice recipes which can give you the volume you need to feel full without really having a lot of carbs in it. Simply boil some cauliflower and puree it or finely chop it. You can use this as your substitute for your mashed potatoes.

Get a veggie pizza. You may be thinking anything with the word pizza in it would be a no-no. But that’s not true. You can still indulge in pizza if you know the right options. Vegetables and less cheese can satisfy that craving for pizza lovers like me.

Don’t go for “low-carb” products. A lot of products which are labeled as “low-carb” aren’t really low-carb. The best way to go low-carb would be to know real low-carb items and make your diet plan from there.
