Whitening Treatments for Teeth

I have always been very careful with my teeth; I brushed religiously and flossed as required. I also avoided drinks that could stain my teeth so that I could have a nice, bright smile. However, as an adult, I realized that coffee was fuel and let’s face it, coffee stains teeth and before I knew it, my smile wasn’t nearly as bright. I know all of you agree with me that a nice smile opens doors and makes you feel more confident in general so just what can be done?

If you are conscious of your teeth and your smile, you should know that there are so many ways that you can brighten your smile. Some of them are easy and you can do them at home but some will require you to go to the dentist. Have a look at some of the options I have dug up below!

Teeth Whitening

I am a stickler when it comes to keeping my teeth nice and free of stains, so naturally, I know of some ways that you can brighten your teeth! I like my teeth nice and bright but not necessarily refrigerator-white since that would look creepy.

  • Baking soda – Now I have tried this a couple of times but I always got a bit lazy to see it through the end. If you want to whiten your teeth with baking soda, it involves dipping your toothbrush with toothpaste into the power and brushing gently.  This works especially well for very light stains.
  • Whitening strips – I almost held a party when I ran across these strips. When I first used them, I followed the instructions on the box and that was to use them daily. However, I am now down to a strip or two per week or sometimes even less. This treatment costs about $40 to $50 depending on the brand you get.
  • Professional whitening – This is for those folks who have severely stained and discolored teeth. This is more expensive but you are guaranteed results for sure.

There are many more options you can try but if you choose the easy home options, ask your dentist for a go signal first.
