Double Strand Headband Tutorial

What you need:

A 36 inch ribbon that has 1 inch of width

3 ½ of braided elastic of 3/8 inch width

How to make:

First of all cut the lace into two equal parts of 18 inch each. Once you’ve done that lay the end of one lace over the end of the other one and sew the elastic on the spot where the two ridges overlap. Repeat the same process with the other ends as well. Easy, isn’t it?

What you need:

4 equal cuts of ribbon

½ yds 1 inch twill

Sewing tools

How to make:

Start by making the sailor’s knot using the two strands of ribbon. On the next step use the two other strands and snake them into the knot right by the first two strands. Once you’ve done that start pulling the knot tighter trying to make it as flat as possible. You can also block both sides of the knot by simply sewing them. Now sew the ends of all the strands flat and follow sewing a piece of twill on each. At last sew elastic on both twills and get ready to style your hair with the cutest headband ever!

What you need:

Elastic

A fabric of any color of your preference

Sewing tools

How to make:

Cut two pieces of fabric as shown in the picture (14 inch each), fold in half and sew along all three sides. Leave only a small opening to turn inside out. Once you’re done with that process grab the pointy ends and make a pretty knot. Now cut a piece of elastic, tuck it in the two ends that you have folded earlier and sew.

What you need:

Pearls

Felt

Headband

Waxed linen string

How to make:

Make a triple knot with your thread and start threading the pearls. Once you finish threading the pearls secure the end of the string with another knot. Now start wrapping your pearls in a way to make circles and glue them down onto the felt, leave it on to dry and then cut the circles out. At last simply glue the cut pearl circles on the ribbon lined headband!
